Default Lease Prices

I was wondering if anyone is leasing a Z06 and what the terms were? Thanks in advance.

I bought mine, but I know the figures. With beacon > 700, $2000 down for fees, $899 per month. Thats for 36 months.

Why lease? Can you say 540 per month?

I'll pick up my EB Z in 2 weeks, for around $867 a month. Cash down is almost $4300, term is for 39 months. Pretty close to what I want. I have always leased my cars, love the arrangement. I get a good write-off with my business, and I'll be ready to turn it in for the C6!

Good luck,
RT

Leasing allows some folks to get into the car they want that they normally might not be able to finance. It can be a particularly viable solution for those that are able to write off a portion for business purposes. But for most of us, financing or cash purchase is cheaper in the long run.

Hey, you can still right the car off, even if you buy it.

But for most of us, financing or cash purchase is cheaper in the long run.
I'll challenge that :D - time value of money (don't forget sales tax at 8%). imho, buying it only makes sense if you plan on owning the car for a long time. We're leasing both of our C5's. Allows me to leave my money in my investments, rather than spending it on a depreciating asset. Most years, my stocks are returning a higher percentage than I'm paying for the lease. Some guys/gals like to own cars, and I don't have a problem with that, but I also don't have a hangup about "renting" the car and only paying for what I use (including sales taxes, btw). I also know we'll both want new ones every couple of years...

I will agree that leasing is NOT a good deal if you plan on buying the car at the end of the lease.

Mine: $5K down, $550, 36mo, 15K/yr
HerZ: $1K down, $700+, 39mo, 15K/yr

(Leasing hint #1: Do the math before you do a 39-mo vs. 36-mo lease; it basically means you're going to be picking up an additional year's tax and registration. I did the math on the Z06, and it worked out... Hint #2: it was pointed out to me by ACS Leasing that putting money down on a lease is risky: if something happens to the car, like theft, the "gap" insurance will pay the financial institution, not you - any money you put down is GONE.)

In general I agree with Steve, but to those that want to mod their cars or race them (1/4 or auto-x) purchase is the better option. Otherwise returning to stock or additional wear & tear may add substantially to the end of the lease.

Leasing works on the money end, however, at 0% interest, buying the car is a sweet way to go.

I'd sure agree with that. Zero wasn't available at the time, however.
