Wide ovals are great in dry and wet--ride much nicer and quieter--made by bridgestone who majes formula 1 tires==thats good enough for me and tony stewart
Those of you looking for the long-wearing Firestone Wide Oval 265/40-17, and 295/35-18's, on nation-wide backorder: your local Firestone Store takes second place to Tire Rack (also cheaper) when the actual release date comes. Additionally, the store has NO leverage to get the tires. As a result, they make little or no effort to do so. ("It could be months".) A call to Corporate did not help.
Initially, I had some trouble finding a local installer with the correct equipment to mount the 35's--but that's been resolved now. Tire Rack was prompt, courteous and responsive, as is the installer they recommended.
Friendly they may be, but Firestone Stores come up short. Tire Rack should be your supplier of choice, if you want customer-sensitivity (and the tires within a year).
Have them on my C5Z and I like them. Wear seems really good and I don't exactly drive this car easy. I bet they will outlast the Goodyears on my C6Z by alot.
