My C5 is still in the shop getting a textralia clutch installed and I happened to check it out while it was on the lift...I noticed that both my rear tires were bald on the inside (alignment/heavy right foot problem).
Anyway, this has prompted me to get a new set of tires and rims ahead of schedule. I have spoken with BOB at Horsepower Sales in Florida (great guy) and am considering putting on some Mickey Thompson 315/35-18 on the rear on 10.5" rims. Bob is going to check clearance issues for me, but I thought I would go ahead and ask if anyone on the forum has any experience with this. Will the tires rub or stick out of the fender? How big can I go without tubbing? Will a +58mm offset be the right choice.
Also, I plan on buying from Tomz Wheels...O.E. Concept C6 Z06.

Any input will be appreciated.
A 315-35x18 is too wide for a 10.5" wide wheel. A better choice would be a 305-35x18.
The rear stock offset on a C5 is 64mm. Now the question is what size tire are you running in front? If the tire is less than 26" in overall height you should be fine. But if it's more - the front wheels will be turning slower than the backs which will lead to traction control issues.
Thanks for the info...I am running the stock size up front...I believe 275/40-17 x 8.5. I will go with the 315/30-18 x 10.5 since you didn't have any issues. So if you were saying stock offset is +64, then should I use the same or will the +58 mm work?
315's are what i have ALWAYS ran on 10.5 in wheels.. this is the first time ive seen someone say its too big.. i will continue to run 315's on 10.5in wheels
I'm running 315/30's on my factory Z wheels. They are a perfect ft, not too big at all. The 35's being a bit taller is also fine as they will be closer to the overall diameter of the factory tires. The 315/30's are like a full inch shorter than stock.

This is correct in all respects. A 305mm tire is a correct fitment for a 10.5in wheel. You'll need a 11in wheel to properly accomodate a 315mm tire.
Factory offset is 64mm rear. A 305 would be the most drivable fitment for a DD.
As always, thank you all for the information and quick response to my question. Looks like I will be calling TomZ on Monday for some wheels.
Since I have the wheel problem sorted out...any recommendation on tires? I am really leaning toward the Mickey Thompson Street Radial, but I have also looked at Nitto 555R.
if you daily drive this car at all then u will NEED nittos. bfgs and mickeys are just not made for ANY wet weather conditions. trust me goin 40 mph upwards on a not so steep bridge is not fun with mickeys!!!
