Default Idle Quality Question

My last Corvette was a C4, and had several good excuses for not idling smooth. I spent a lot of time with the engine on the stand to make sure it had the bite to match the not so smooth idle. My C5 (03) ls1 20k on the clock doesn't have a silky smooth idle, it's fairly smooth but twitches the car a little bit. I am not as familiar with the LS1's in these cars as I was with the old school Chev small block. How does your LS1 idle? is it smooth? does it intermittently twitch the car? The reason I ask is the previous owner of this vert was very capable of having mods done at a reasonable price (dealer owner's personal car) He had Corsa torinngs installed, but It still has the stock airbox. The car seems a little lazy down in the lower rpms, but gets crazy above 3k. Any opinions? ('03 6 speed vert with Corsas)

My '01 has a bit of a twitch in it also. I figure it's normal. I had a '95 Firebird with the LT1 and it twitched.

Hi, my 03 Ae auto vert has a very slight cammy feel once in a while at idle, never feel it at anything above idle. 15000 miles .
Good Luck

Slight twitch on occasion, and like you, after my L98 C4, the LS1 feels like silk.

And man, I miss those O U T S T A N D I N G seats on the C4 and the steering, with its quick turn-in response and great road surface feedback.
