Stock air filter install? Help
I removing the k&n's that came with my 98C5 and installing a stock air cleaner. (yes, I'm one of those people that think the stock unit filters better) Anyway, I dont understand how the stock air cleaner sits in the car. Is it attached some how? And even if I basically sit it in there, it looks like there is no way to change the filter w/o removing the entire box. What gives? Does anyone have pictures on how this goes in?
Any help would be appreciated.

There are two holes in the cover of the of the air box that rest on pegs toward the front of the car.
As for changing the filter, you shouldn't have to remove the airbox to do so.

I got rid of that funky looking Y shaped air filter asm too
. I went with a ZO6 stock asm.
Checked my mileage got 33.5 on interstate @ 70 140 mile round trip.
Mine was missing those stud things too got mine from the Dealer, they where cheap.
