Thank you for your input/perspective. It is nice to see someone who can gloat, staying loyal if not appreciative of the C5. I am glad things are generally working out for the best for you. Divorce with kids is 'to much',,I know. VERY cool you have your own mini collection going, hopefully you have a decent garage set up. I hope to own a 6Z06 myself someday. Never thought I would get a C5 even, but as you mentioned, prices are now working a bit more in the consumers favor.
Wow what a problem you have to deal with, 'which Vette do I drive today?' Congrats on all your sucess`s and yes, I wish my Vette was payed for also.
Peace,
Les
Many thanks Les.....Believe me...It's been a LONG road.....I had a VERY rough time (financially) in the years immediately following my 1990 divorce...I was flat out BROKE!!!...Lost my house, a collection of Ford Mustangs, half my police pension, about everything to my name.....I recall getting my paycheck, paying my bills and child support ($1026 a month for 2 kids) and having less than $100 to eat on for the next month....But when my "ex" vowed to "destroy me if it was the last thing she ever did" it instilled something in me that I didnt even know existed....I cant begin to tell you how many hours of overtime, extra duty, side jobs, etc, it took for me to make it back on my feet and get to where I am now......Meeting my current wife in November 1993 was the icing on the cake...but that's a long story... You can read about it at www.dansamento.com if youre interested...but it's pretty boring

Hey DevilMan...I bought it on Febuary 4th with 148 miles....Today it has 2206!!!!...So I AM driving it!!
If you ever had the pleasure of being in cruise with Dan, be prepared to run wide open throttle; I don't even try to keep up with him. About a month ago I was keeping up with the C6, in fact I was the next corvette behind him, but his wife was driving. Then he took over, and I was ahead of him for several minutes, then a black streak went around me at Mach 2. Caught him at the next stop after he had gotten out of the C6. So Dan does drive and skilfully at that, and it is a pleasure to cruise with him. BTW, if you ever saw Dan's black C5s, you would know why he likes them, I sure do. They are very well maintained and are show stoppers.

I know what ya mean buddy, it`s the ol 'what doesn`t kill ya makes ya stronger' kinda thing and YOU ARE the better stronger person through it all, I imagine. Also going over one of lifes major cliffs, one soon learns about humility, you are forced to. Forgiveness is nearly impossible for me though I know I must. Anyway again, wish you the best, congrats !
