No way. I could continue to wring more hp out of the car but I'm still learning do get the most out of it when driving. I've been doing some drag strip runs and the launch is the key, not more hp. When I've mastered the current hp, I may go for more. Current mod is the drivers mod.
I have second doubts about the new seat skins I installed. Seemed like a good idea at the time but now that they are on they suck ! I might try and order new foam, maybe that will help. More wasted expense. I should have just bought new rims and kept the old seats.
These are the new seat skins.. LeatherSeats.com Not impressed

This is the before..
Wow!
I would be pizzed if I spent my money on new seat skins and got those results! I doubt it's the foam as the before pic looks fine.
Everytime I hear a UPS truck coming down the street I run to the door like a puppy whose owner just arrived home only to be let down when they drive by the house without stopping.
you and me both....it's even worse with USPS and no tracking number to steady my nerves.
I always wonder what the heck I'm thinking a few days after modding. I put a blower on my last car and hatted it to the point that I sold it after about 1k miles. My wifes car I spend 25k modding only to have her and me hate driving it.
My vette was bought so I wouldn't mod anymore, I'm trying to keep it bolt-ons
It seems that as long as I'm doing a project it's all fun and games. After it's complete, I'll get about 2-3 days of satisfaction and then its almost as if i never modified it at all.... the thrill is gone.
...unfortionatly, it seems that the only solution is to start another project. I'd compare corvette modding to a drug addiction.
Common features:
- Both require more extensive experience go get that "feeling"
- Both are money pits
- People who do both tend to congregate and discuss new products.
- Both have been known to end relationships
- We all think our S**t is better than the other guy's
- Attempting to quit both may result in with drawl
- In many cases, both will result in encounters with Leos
- There is no cure!!
Best advice I can give is go w/the best parts and get the hp you want plus a little the first time. Redoing things is the most expensive.

For some of the mods I feel the same way you do, but for others, the thrill just keeps happening each time I get in the car (like the MCM hood and the VE interior).
I used to agonize over the money spent, the time spent, and the need to do more to the car - whichever car I had at the time.
Now I recognize that this Vette thing is a hobby; and as a hobby the time, money, and satisfaction are all part of it. As long as I can afford it and still provide the other things in life, it's OK. We all spend our money, usually all of it, one way or another.
Enjoy thyour Vette, I do.
