I have searched this subject and its numerous suggestions.
My 12 disc CD changer quit. I have tried reloading, waiting for it to recycle - I know the discs are loaded correctly - learned that a long time ago...
After loading the magazine the icon would flash and then give the "err".
The Aux button does nothing.
So, after trying again to load the mag, now it will not eject. What next!!
Questions: I read there is a hole to reset the unit. (I just replaced the battery.) I cannot find said hole. Also I do not know where to unplug/replug the unit. It is bolted solidly in its place and I cannot see any hook-ups.
I am going to try the knifeblade trick next to get the mag to eject. I am obviously mechanically ignorant, so be kind to the little lady.....
Help??
On the rear of the changer you can pull the plug. That will do a reset. Also depending on what year your car is. The changer also plugs into the passenger foot well area.

It's a '98. How do you get to the rear of the changer?
Well, I tried using a knife to release the magazine with no luck. With the door open it sounds like it is trying to release.... As you look at the line of numbers on the mag, (1 - 12), the 12 spot looks like it has a mechanism which is moving as the clicking sounds.
I guess the next step is to unbolt the unit and perform surgery on it.(Hey, I'm an OR nurse! lol )
Also, with a bit more light on the subject, I can see the wiring going into the back of the unit - I didn't realize that the compartment was that deep. I'm thinking I'll wait until tomorrow to perform the surgery with some light! lol
Any more hints from the night owls is appreciated....
