Cherry no more! - Pic's + Video
When the warm-up runs started at 6:00 pm there were raindrops on the windshield and track management almost shut it down; by 6:30 the sun was out; later the air was cool and the track conditions were perfect.
Bob, I saw your third run from the stands... during the burn out your car hit the rev-limiter in a split second and then left from the line like a rocket.
Later, after that looonnng wait in the staging lanes, I was surprised to get to race with you. The track guys backed us into the water for our burn outs and then lined us both up into the grooves....with that special treatment it was as if we were racing for the championship.....
When I went to the stands after that run, the spectators were still talking about our burn-out smoke display... and how fast your car is.
Great fun... Can't wait until the next time.
BTW track is not open next Tuesday.

I think watching the "lateness" of my runs is my humiliating moment right now. Maybe I'll start going on yellow like everyone does on the street.
The second picture is about the only time we are side by side without me falling behind quickly!!!

OK, it wasn't great but here is my first run against a ram-air Trans-Am. My first run for the year so he beat me off the line, but as expected, I chased him down at the end to take the win.
