Need help with FOB training
I went to use my backup FOB + key and none of the FOB functions would work. Put in a new battery and tried the 7-second/horn beep procedure, which has always worked in the past, but not this time. So I did the long resynch procedure through "FOB training" on the DIC, but it still wouldn't program.
I took the FOB to a dealer, who tested it on a FOB tester. All functions worked just fine on his tester so I hurried home to again try the short and long resynch/reprogram procedures outlined in my owners manual. Even took the manual with me to the garage this time and followed the procedures word for word. Still nothing.
My '99 Coupe just celebrated its 9th birthday so I imagine both FOBs are that old, too. However, the one I usually use is working just fine and this "bad" one tested normal at the dealer.
