If you're handy at DIY it apparently can be mounted to your oem C5/Z06 shifter.
You'll need to drill/tap a hole in the side of the C5/Z06 lever (ala C6/Z06) to attach the fastener.
I don't know the oem size of the C6/Z06 fastener, but you could even use a small SAE instead of metric...
Do you have to modify the stock C5 shifter boot if you are completely changing to a C6Z shifter, ****, and bolt? Also I have heard mentions that it needs to be adjusted or something after install. What exactly has to be changed. i thought the stop bolts were already set up?

I did the install with one hand in a cast. Don't sweat it. Follow the write-ups on the forum with the correct tools and you are set. Hour tops, 2 if you stop for lunch.
