I would if it meets GM4718M. Personally I stick with the factory recommend Mobil 1 5W-30.

I would run the Royal Purple. Do some research. I understand that NC State Univ did some serious oil testing and Royal Purple came out on top.

You're fine getting either the Royal Purple or Mobil 1.

Personally, I get which ever one is on sale at the time.

I'd go for it,5 w 30 would be just fine. I run mobile 1 in the crank case, cost factor, but I have R P in my transmission and rear end.

Run the RP in your car for your regular oil change interval. When you drain it send a sample in to get an analysis on it. That should tell you not to.....I mean......wether or not you want to run it again.

As long as it meets the aforementioned spec, it's "6 of one and a half dozen of the other."

Run it, you'll have no problems.

I have been running Royal Purple for 6 years, 5W30 in winter, 10W30 in summer, & Royal Purple XPR 10W40 Racing Oil at the track. My car has seen alot of very hard driving over the years. The engine is in perfect condition.

By the way, I would not use 10W40 on the street, a little too heavy.

I run M1 so I don't have to buy a "Royal Purple" filler cap.
