Been driving in the rain? If the belt gets dirty, it'll squeal.

I had a squeek from hell that wouldn't go away... replaced the tensioners etc, but finally a buddy said try a Gatorback belt.... it worked perfectly.

Take a bar of soap around inside of belt--always worked for me

Wow, doesn't that make the belt slip even more? (I've always used soap as a lubricant)

Gatorback belts are designed to run quieter than most belts.
Check out their website.

I always put a spoon full of comet or other powder cleanser on several spots on the pulley facing the belt.It cleans the road film & oil film off nicely. No "Cherp".

How do you know it's not an actual tensioner?
I had both the serpentine tensioner AND the a/c idler tensioner go bad on my WS6.
Another option to consider..

I think is't STP they make a spray called belt dressing. You spray it on the inner belt, stops noise.
