Back Hatch Gel Coat
Call me crazy, never noticed it till lately, but it appears I'm seeing chopped fiber rising in my paint through the emblem on my hatch. It extends parallel to the hatch edge across about 14" in each direction. You would have to crouch and lay your eye across the surface to see it. Do you think the material is moving (cracking)? Or perhaps a manufacturing mistake I missed? Anyone have anything like this on their car. When I get my car clean later this week I'll post a picture. My car is an '04.

For some reason I thought my hatch was metal. I may be wrong and if I am then thats OK, but I was looking at mine one day and the bottom side felt really cold or something and I just assumed it was metal. Am I wrong?

Yes, have the same thing on mine. Have heard of some getting it replaced under the 6 year rust warranty I believe.
