Just out of curiousity, what kind of traction issues have you guys seen with stock cars. Obviously, launching the car is a bit tricky. However, from any roll on situation I have no issues. The 1-2 shift spins em but it is nothing insane. I hear stories of people blowing the tires off from a roll and getting flat silly on the 1-2 shift and even slipping a bit on the 2-3 shift. Obviously this is a rookie question, but did any of you experience anything along these lines stock... assumming decent tires.
Sorry for such a general question, just trying to see how far fetched some of these stories of the stock LS1 cars having all these traction issues being true are or if my car is just way down on power or way up on stickiness of tires. Feel free to flame away for the childeshness of the post.

Not bone stock , but even a few minor mods can lead to traction issues especially if you are on run-flats. No heads, cam or supercharger here with RF's 1st to 2nd can be highly entertaining (or not )
OK, thats about what I figured. After the stories I thought maybe my stock car (it has a B&B exhaust) was way down on power or something. The easy solution would be off to the dyno or the track of course. I have plans for a Vararam and either a set of 3.90's or 4.10's in the near future... I figure at that point traction could begin to come more into play.
I've got a 2000 FRC,6 speed,3.42 gears,Blackwing and Corsa touring.I dropped the runflats to 32 lbs . I had to watch it off the line but that's all,hit 2nd hard on a 13 flat run and got a healthy chirp and thats it.Might have been really good track conditions,,only 2 days after the Midwest Nationals.3 days of fuelers and pro-stock may have left some good rubber and traction compound on the track,,who knows!!
Traction problems shouldnt be bad on a stock c5, If your still skeeeerd leave the traction control on.
Kinda the opposite actually... I'm looking to go in the direction that will undoubtably result in less and less traction. Near term plans for the car include Vararam, gears long tubes, X pipe and tune. At some point there after heads and cam are int he plans. I was actually just more curious if my car was behaving as a typical stock car does... and it sounds like it is.

Sounds idnetical to my traction situation actually, only difference would be the black wing on your car. Sweet, good info guys I really appreciate the feedback!!!
