Default Modding the Z

Hi, I just bought a 2002 Z06 and have some parts that I am taking off from my Camaro Z28.

We are going to swap the LS7 Clutch, Stage 1.5 LS6 heads, G5X3 Cam, springs, retainers, pushrods, ported oil pump, underdrive pulley etc.

I am going to take off the cats and keep th Stock Ti. But I went off of money until I sell the Z28 so I can not buy headers or CAI right now.

The LS6 that have my Camaro went 456rwhp with long tubes and FAST 90/90. So, just wondering how will work with stock LS6 intake and stock manifuld.

Any sugestion is wellcome.

Tires- Toyo's R888 or Nitto NT01's. With all that power it's so much more fun to put it to the ground.

The underdrive pulley is not the same between the F-body and corvette incase you didnt know. Also the clutch is a much more intensive job on the corvette as the entire rear end/ trans and torque tube have to be removed to change the clutch.

You took the words out of my mouth. Also remember you have to remove the steering rack, etc. in order to change the cam and/or crank pulley.

I did not know about the UD, I will sell it then. Maybe is easier to swap the entire engine, will see.

What about runing a H/C with stock manifolds?

OK... suggestion number 1. STOP THINKING OF YOUR CORVETTE AS A CAMARO!!!!!!

Forget stupid F-body bolt on crap. You are in a different world now. You can make a small bit of extra power with bolt-ons on a Z06. The stock exhaust is PRETTY good. You won't get near the increase that you would out of an F-body. Anything cat-back is mostly for sound purposes and I've seen all sorts of numbers from headers on an otherwise stock motor but nothing that absolutely blows me away. Of course a h/c setup is a different story. Some of the head/cam guys have put down some amazing numbers and some have spent a lot of $$ for very little gain. If you are going to mod the car, make sure you do it right.

Thanks for your response. I wana do it right, we almost finish swaping the engines. I had a new LS7 clutch installed too, cats are removed.

I am looking to a nice deal on long tubes.

My plans for my Z are this setup, please tell me what you think.
Alredy done:
-1.5 stage LS6 TEA ported heads
-G5X3 Cam with 114 LSA
-LS7 Clutch
-No Cats
-Stock Ti
To do list
-Varam CAI
-Long Tubes
-Short Shifter
-410 gear
-Hoosiers DRs

Hope to be arround 450rwhp and low 11s at the quarter. Any advice is wellcome.

Yes, it was. I already have the badges, and looking for the sreens.

I havent seen any Z06 in Mexico with BSM, I think GM did not use in cars sold here. There are six Z06s in the ClubFbodyMexico, and none of them has the BMS. Also, 4 of them been in a wreck by previous owners as I know.
