head and cam or full bolt ons

force fed performance has a monthly special of head and cam package installed for 4 grand. ive been going back and forth on doing that or installing gears, stall, cai, maybe headers (because of california). there patriot heads and most likely a mild cam.
i want to go straight line fast at the track and wife will only let me use about 4 to 5 grand. what should i do to get the lowest E/T

I would say get supercharger hands down, but if you only have 4-5 grand, that's not going to cut it...unless you can do the work yourself..and even then most of the good kits are pricing at 6k when you are done adding the other odds and ends.
