Time will show that 03 AE will be worth significantly more than the non 03 AE.

It is true that it is essentially a paint, trim and option package with no earth shattering differences from a regualar 03 Corvette. I believe GM could have done a bit more for such a milestone, but they decided against it for a variety of reasons. They knew they could get away with doing mild upgrades and sell a ton,............and did.

BUT, 50 Years has a social significance in the US. The Magnetic Red / Shale AE will be a future collectable, no matter what the naysayers spew as fact. You can look to the 25th AE Corvette to see how it will play out. One of the those in good condition are worth quite a bit more than a non Anniversary Edition 1978 Corvette.

Ck ebay motors.............

Default AE's do cost more

On the other hand, this vert with post -production aftermarket graphics can be as obscure as the driver of the '02 pacecar:

Hi Guys, I disagree a bit with this post, I agree with the part about the graphics making it a special car, even though I don't personally care for it. But I disagree with the part about AE's not getting more bucks. In fact they do. Condition and mileage being equal, an AE will bring more dollars than a non AE 03 . And the AE owners are asking more because they know it will.
I went to www.nada.com, and did a comparison of a 2003 non AE vert with magnetic ride, and 15000 miles on it, compared to an AE vert with the same miles. the results are below. Now I don't neccessarily think that the compared cars will bring the prices NADA claims they sell for, but you can see the difference in price for the AE compared to the Non AE car, that's my point.
Flame On
Results
Non AE VERT=30,800 trade and 33,150 Retail
AE VERT==33,150 trade, and 37,350 Retail.

Like I said I don't feel they will bring these high prices , but I do believe the difference in price.
Good Luck

Well we gladly paid extra for the 50th package. While at Funfest a few years ago, the wife fell in love with the Anniversary color, the shale interior and shale top. She picked it out for herself, what she want's she gets.

Besides... we also have a 04' AE coupe, again, we also loved the color combo. It's a matter of personal preference. David
