Default Another oil leak

Got a 00 coupe A4. Noticed a small amount of oil where the trans meets the torque converter. I took out the rubber inspection cover thinking it would be full of oil, but none. I've checked all around the trans pan and not a drop. The lines are all clean, I have my own lift and the bottom of the car is as clean as the top. It hasn't dripped on the floor and when I wipe it off, the only way it re-appears is when I drive it. Any thoughts??? thanks. tc

I posted this same issue a while back. Many thought it is an oil pressure sensor. A few suggested a rear main seal. I talked with a long-time, well respected Corvette guy here. Without seeing the car, the rear main seal would be his last guess. Certainly could be the OPS, although, he said he doesn't run across these on a regular basis either. How many miles on the clock? I've got 32K.

Took the car to the vette doctor today (not DVM). OPS is dry. The rear main seal appears to be dry as well. Looks like the oil pan gasket could be the problem. Only way to fix it is to yank the motor. This could be expensive.
