Default Windshield Wipers going nuts!! please help

I have a 98 C5, and the windshield wipers on the thing are turning on by there self. On and off. It's never happened before. Anyone know what could be the problem?? They don't go into place like when you turn em off. There suppossed to sit flush on the bottom of the windshield but they don't, they keep jerking like they want to go up.

you may have clogged udders (they are part of the drain system for the windshield and AC) - Bill Curley posted a great writeup on how to unclog them, then you may need to replace parts in your wiper system...

I think this may be a case of NDIR disease.

Just kidding.

I had the same problem last year. i had to buy a wiper motor. My udders were clogged & the motor was sumerged. When everything dried the wipers worked but would not fully retract. Just fixed them with a used motor off fleabay.
