^^I suggest you check your state laws. In most states use of harnesses are illegal. That is why I made the comment about being able to use your stock seat belts.
harnesses are not dot approved in any state most cops over look it being that you are still strapped in there will be some that are **** abou tit but i had 3 points in my ta and i never got a ticket even when i was pulled over for something else, but thank you for watching out
not sure yet ill figure that out when i get them probly fab some adapter
Ok - was wondering if you'd found a solution already or not. I have found a solution (I think). I have some carbon fiber side-mount seats that I fabricated some brackets (rough protoypes) for. I used them to make a CAD design. I sent the design to Jeff @ Elite Engineering and he seems interested, so maybe he'll have a solution soon. I'm going to build one final prototype (probably today or tomorrow) out of some slightly different material, since I made a few minor design changes when I transferred it from protype to CAD. Anyway, if it all works out, I'll have some really awesome seats (Porsche GT3 style) for pretty cheap which will bolt right up to my factory sliders.
- they're bottom mount
- fit perfectly on Corbeau brackets w/o modification
- work with factory seatbelts
- easy to install (took me 45 min for both)
The driving position is much more upright, but that's what I like. They give you a commanding view of the road over the fenders. If you like the real racing driving position, they're great. If you're looking to recline and chill, look for another seat.
I wouldn't waste my time mounting them to the factory sliders. The Corbeau sliders position the seats perfectly.
Lastly, I've had both the Forza and now the FX1 Pro - the FX1 is a fiberglass shell design, which is lighter, sits better, and looks better. Although the Forza is a nice seat, the FX1 is all-round better.
