Default WCC lowering bolt install

I bought the front lowering bolt kit from west coast corvettes and it says on the instructions to lower the a-arm and grease up the bolt. I was wondering if anybody has done this or has a write up. i was kinda thinking i could just slip the old bolt out and slap the new bolt in.

There was no "just slipping" the old bolts out for me! It took me all of 7 hours to do both of mine, but I stripped my bolts making it exponentionally more difficult. Lower the a-arm and put a jack under the leaf spring and it won't be too tough for you. One tool I WISH i had for this job is a ractheting wrench. Woulda been a life saver. Good Luck.

The fronts are not as easy as the rear but if you can use a ratchet and have a hydrolic jack you can do it. The upper a arms and the bottom of the shock must be taken loose. Once the a arm is able to drop you will need to jack up the leaf spring in order to clear the top of the lower a arm. You then simply back out the old bolt and in with the new. I had pics of when I did mine but that computer got screwed up and all my pics were lost. Good luck if you have any questions feel free to pm me. Ive only done this twice but both times went without a hitch.

This is NOT needed. You simply need to use a block of wood under the leaf spring and a jack to push up. Just like in the pictures in the link above.
