I recently purchased a set of LED taillights for my 97 coupe. They look great but they blink excessively fast.
I have tried the following after talking with the shop that I bought them from.
1. Front turn signals, ok, but still blinks fast...
2. Changed front turn signals, but still blinks fast...
3. Tried a "heavy duty bulb up front, it's actually the same number, but I tried it anyways, still blinks fast...
4. Reseated the LED connectors, still blinks fast...
5. checked battery voltage, it's between the required 12 - 14 volts, still blinks fast...
Does anyone else have any recommendations, short of reinstalling my old taillights?
I want a set of LED's ut kinda scared that someone might steal them from me especially since taking out the tail lights is so easy. Is their anything I can do to prevent this from happening when the car is not in the garage?

Put a small amount of super glue on the screw threads when you put them in. A SMALL AMOUNT!! Doing that will deter most people trying to take them out quickly as it will make it much more difficult, but not impossible to take out.

move to a safer city?
get a sensitive aftermarket alarm?
but the truth is I dont think anyone targets 300 dollar corvette tail lights
I believe it's a matter of installing a resistor. I have hyper flash on one side only....go figure. The LED's have such a little drain on the system that the car doesn't know theyt are there....
I bought the LED Flasher/Bypass Harness from Richard at Corvette Enhancements. Worked like a charm and only took 10-15 minutes to install. Also had him tint the lights just a little to make them a little darker red. They look fantastic. You can make it harder for thieves to remove the lights by using tamper proof screws that take a special screwdriver. Works for me!!
