does anyone know how much i would be looking at paying to get the front bumper repainted on my 98....black. I want it to be a perfect match, with no orange peel to match the rest of the car.
Black is no problem to match. Our cars are very easy to work on. I'd recommend removing the facia yourself and taking it to a body shop with the paint code. They will strip it and repaint it, then you can reinstall it without worrying.
And while you have the facia off, grab the build sheet from inside the front bumper bar.
I'd estimate $700 for them to strip and repaint. If you strip it first, cut that cost in half. You can strip it with chemicals, or old fashioned sandpaper. I'd go with the chemical stripper, personally.

I had an original estimate of $500 to paint the nose on my wife's 01. It only cost me $3k by the time I was finished.
I ended up having to replace the nose piece because of hidden previous damage, which added another $500-$600. The car had spent a lot of time outside and the rest of the paint was definately in need of "sprucing up". Every panel had issues, and I decided to just have the whole car painted.

My car too. Only my hood could use a little love too. Just normal wear for 10yrs and 88k but I hate chips!
