I bought these for my backup lights but I'm having an issue.
The LEDs are ON at all times when the car is running.
When I put it in reverse, they bright ON stronger.
Bottom line, these bulbs are always ON. weird
What's up with this? Any ideas?
I would put a volt and amp meter on the pigtail to see if you are getting alot of power to them when they should be off.
If it is very minimal leak, you can add a small inline resistor to soak up any stray power going to the lights till the reverse lights are suppose to come on.
Post this in the tech section also. They might be able to help even more.
Perhaps you have the wrong model bulbs. I believe you have the 1157 style bulbs which are the LED equivalent of dual filament turn signal/running light bulbs. You need the 1057 version.
FYI: LED bulbs throw out significantly less light than an incandescent bulb. Great for effects but poor in performance.

THe bulbs are 1157 SMT Tower LED bulbs from autolumination.com.
I don't see any 1057 option on this website. ANybody have a link or
some other website?
i use the light tower II 20 LED bulbs for my backup lights with no problems.
My problem was when they SMT tower bulbs were used in the DRL/Turn signals. This probably has somthing to do with the DRL turn/signal setup on the corvette where the DRLS are on full until the parking lights are on and the flasher adjust to flash either more or less bright.
