The "heft" and quality of detail engraved in the new chrome C5 emblems are quite impressive, indeed! Awesome! 
And nice use of the old ones.

I took some pics of a couple of new bling mods that I got recently.
I found a set of chrome emblems for a great price and ordered a set. These emblems are very high quality. They're thick, heavyweight and solid. The kicker is they actually cost less than the OEM 2003 anniversay emblems I previously had on there!
The new ones do NOT have the lugs for the holes in the front bumper. This pic gives an idea of just how thick they are.
Size comparison shows they're identical.
Installed in rear.
Front emblem removed.
Front installed.
When installing the front emblem, I used a good amount of pressure to set the emblem to be sure the tape was secure. Since the bumper is flexible, the tape was able to make contact with the entire bumper.
Even though the front's don't have the lugs, the double sided tape should be more than strong enough to hold it in place. This tape holds on everything from exhaust plates to BSMs so I don't have any reservations about the missing lugs.
I think the lugs are more of a guide so it doesn't go in crooked than anything else. I just followed the slight shadow of the old emblem when installing both of the new ones.
I also found a use for my old emblems that I removed. I rubbed off the old tape and snipped the lugs off the front emblem. I then reapplied some double sided tape to the emblems and used them to add a finishing touch to my new FRCs.
You can see that the maroon red of the 2003 anniversary color matches almost exactly with the covers, so it turned out well.

Very nice Jason... I tried to find chrome ones when we had Lori's car re-painted but only came up with silver ones. Maybe when we get all of her rock ships repaired I get the chrome ones. Where did you find them?
