For those who have replaced theirs, should I just get the LS2 timing set? Im doing a cam swap this weekend and that shoould be all im lacking. I have comming so far:
yea its really all dependant on how crazy you want to go. I would just do the LS2 chain. Good Price and works great! The double chain is overkill for most setups. Its good insurance if you need it tho.
I would go with either the LS2 or Katech timing chain. I have heard a lot of good things about the LS2 chain from people who run their cars pretty hard. I did see a report or two where the LS2 chain broke but don'y really know why this happened.
I would avoid the double-rollers due to issues of them fitting with stock timing chain cover.
