Default Help - Right side brake lights not working

Was told this at a stop light last week so I bought two new bulbs and installed them; still nothing.

Both sides' blinkers still work however, and both sides light up dimly as normal with the headlights turned on.

But the right doesn't light up for brake or hazard.

I've done some searching and seen similar issues with people when their turn signal lever or their hazard button needs to be replaced. The hazard button seemed to be operating normally to me. It operated the same whether I just pushed it once and let it flash, or held it all the way in.

I have noticed that since I've had the car if I don't lock the turn signal switch down into the R or L turn blinking position (like when I just push it enough to activate the signal), that it blinks about twice as fast.

What should I do next to diagnose this problem?

There's some good schematics in here for your troubleshooting pleasure. I would also recommend you visit the Tech/Performance section with technical questions. The pro's like to hang out there. Bill Dearborn, BlackZ06 and Bill Curlee are there. Bill Curlee is the best when it comes to electrical issues.
