There are two brackets that fit over the bold and then you close the lid over them and set the net into two holes in the brackets. Nothing attached permanently. They simply set there and are held in place by the closed lid. Then when you get ready to put the top up, you lift them off and set them in the pocket where the top was.

I like mine. A great way to work it.
