I have been looking at changing my stock exhaust. I have been looking at the Mid America Quadpower and crossover pipe. I just received my latest edition of Corvette Fever and noticed that is the same system that is been used on the C5 project car. I also see where they have changed the air filter system.
MAM has what they call the Extreme Aspiration system that comes with their chrome duel air filter, modified MAFS, smooth coupler (I alreday have it), the stainless steel crossover pipe and the stainless steel quadpower mufflers. This complete system cost about the same as the Corsa cat back system alone.
Is it worth going with this complete system or should I go Corsa and add the crossover pipe and air filter as I go?
Hi There,
I have the quad cruiser. Its identical to the corsa system.I don't know about the drone. I bought it used(400 miles). Going to buy the x pipe from mam before I install it. I don't want the motor boat sound at idle or the exhaust popping at decelaration. It sure is shiny, all polished s/steel. c4 c5 specialist a expert on another corvette site stated he installed 2 systems & liked the quality & fitment.

Glad to hear you got it! (Yesterday?) Now for some intake mods.
TR6 I will probably have a Blackwing filter for sale soon (unless Rob takes it to compliment the exhaust).
I have the Borla quad rounds and besides the additional horsepower, my C5 sounds awesome at idle through high speeds.
I'm thrilled with mine. I'm glad the guy that I purchased it from spent the $$ instead of me. He also installed the K&N intake system!!!!

The QuadraPower is a very nice exhaust. It's louder than the QuadCruiser. The mufflers are smaller. I say go for it! We have this system on our other Vette (w/x-pipe) and it's VERY nice in quality, looks and sound. You won't be disappointed. Imo, the tips look better than the Corsa's too.
Go to you tube and listen to exhaust and decide what you are really wanting. Sound performance looks etc. I have kooks headers w/ high cats x pipe and Corsa pro tips. Its not bad driving around and really turns up the growl above 2,000 rpm. I am very happy with set up.
I might suggest finding some different vette owners that actually have the exhaust you are considering buying. A friend of mine researched the daylights out of different exhausts listening on you tube and websites. He thought he found the perfect sound but once on the car he was very unhappy and went back to stock. Just a suggestion.
I would go with Corsa. I just took the Mid America Quad Cruiser off my car and went with the Corsa Xtreme with X pipe. Car runs great and sounds unbelievable!!! On Mid America's site they have video of a C5 with the Xtreme on it. Check it out and see how you like it.
From: Mobile,Alabama When someone tells me they've always wanted a Corvette,I say...GETUONE.
I just installed the Mid America Quadcruiser exhaust on my car. I like them. They are a little bit louder than stock with hardly any drone. I have an automatic and there is no popping on deceleration.
I was surprised to see this old post of mine today. I did shortly have that post order the new exhaust system and X-pipe as well as the K&N duel filter. As for HP gain, I did not Dyno it so I could not tell you if it did improve, but it sounds great.
