Default A couple of quick pioneer AVIC D3 install questions

a couple of quick questions

1) My AVIC D3 came with a black piece of platic that is supposed to go around the navigation unit itself. This piece does not fit securely around that navigation unit. There is almost a 1/4" gap around the bottom edge of the screen area. Is this normal and what can be done to correct this?

2) With the PAC adapter for the wiring, I saw a link indicating to use this one. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-TFyIbSV...aspx?i=127OEM2 In the process of ordering this one I entered in my vehicle information, which is a 1997 coupe, and was informed by the crutchfield website that this was not compatible with my car. Is their site wrong or I am trying to order the wrong piece?

Many thanks to everyone who has done this install before me and posted pictures and instructions. You guys all rock and I couldnt have done this without your help.

if you mod the bezel filled in and not open on the sides you wont need the trim ring.
