Got around to painting my hardtop's calipers today, been seeing forum members' post their pic's, so kind of got me interested....bought the dupli-color kit and went to it... Neighbor asked what I was doing, da...what's it look like..He said he's never heard of that before...needs to get out some,
What is the best way to clean them up real well prior to painting them? Do you feel a brush was the best way to do it, or would you rather have sprayed them? I have been leaning towards spray because I've heard some complaints about brush strokes in the calipers from the kit... Your thoughts?

Yep, the brush in the kit was basically falling apart when I began to paint the first caliper, so I purchased a quality brush and took my time and turned out nice... I cleaned the calipers with a very small wire brush, (only after I taped up all exposed areas) and the can of spray in the kit afterwards, then used the brush again, used an air gun to remove any loose particles before painting.
