Just a quick FYI
768 miles A/C on ,some cruise = return of 30.1 mpg. Gotta' love the Vette slightly modded, better mpg than last trip in the 4 cyl Toyota Highlander= 27.4.
Ya gotta love it don't ya!!! The only way I can beat my FRCs mileage with my 03 Focus is the have the tires pumped up close to max load psi and keep the AC off !! NOT how I want to travel!!
I purchased my C5 in McAllen Tx. and drove it from there to Niagara Falls Canada, about 3000~Miles, Stopped in a few big city’s for some drinks and stuff. All in all I spent about $210USD including filling the tank before I brought it into Canada from Buffalo. My friend and I were shocked when we looked at the gas receipts. Now on the other hand, after driving for the last month or so in the city eeeek
This car is definitely a road trip car.
It’s fun to brag about the millage on this thing, there’s no Civic that can keep up with that gas millage and even the top speeds!!!
While we vette fans know it, I don't think the public in general realizes that our beloved cars are actually quite aero-dynamic. Give that to some one who hassles you for having a nice big V-8!

Trust me I've enlightened many over the past few days, some still say no way. I say come by the #'s still are there, I know the DIC may not be entirely accurate, but I got 30.9 on my calculations
My cousins wife and I both work for the same company. We both moved further away from our jobs about the same time, right before the gas prices went through the roof! They traded for a Chevy Cobalt for gas mileage, and thought that I was an idiot for buying a Corvette with a big V8. They were giving me a hard time about it, and you should have seen their faces when I told them that I was getting the same gas mileage that they were! Now they are stuck driving a car that they can barely fit in while I'm driving a Corvette!
