Hey Guys
Just bought a 2000 convertible. DIC shows a PO137 code bank 1 sensor 2
replaced driver side back of cat sensor same code came back. Question is did I replace the correct sensor? What else would throw that code? Curiously the wires to the rear sensors are plugged into the opposite sides. In other words the left unit is plugged into the right side plug and vice versa . Any help would be appreciated.
Hi There,
Your sensors in the rear are connected properly(reversed). I would check the front and make sure the left sensor is connected to the left plug & the right sensor connected to the right. BTW: Are the flat connectors in the front & the round ones connected to the rear?If they are time for a re-program at the dealer.

Reason: additonal info.
I'm not sure what you mean. The plug that came from the sensor was square. the only other issue that might have a bearing is I have a exhaust leak between the manifold pipe and the exhaust pipe it's minor but obvious. Of course on the left side. I run an ambulance company up here on Cape Cod and though i have great mechanics probably some of the best in the northeast they work on fifty plus ford 350-450's mix the chevy thing is little foreign. If you could clarify the flat round thing i would appreciate it
Hi There billyfender,
In the front(cats) the wire on the left goes to the h02 sensor on the left & the right wire goes to the right h02 sensor, just the opposite from the rear.Your problem is to correct the exhaust leak first & that will eliminate the code.BTW: I was stationed at Otis AFB. I was a aircraft engine technician on the ec-121h aircraft. A really nice area.We hated to leave that area. We lived at 121 presidents road in Buzzards Bay.The last time we were there was in dec. of 66 If you ever get out that way please take a picture at that address. It would be fun to compare the picture we have from 66 to a current one.

Hi Bill,
I believe they are a compression fit.Buy them from the dealer then you'll know for sure, besides you need the part whether you install it or a technician installs it.
Have a good weekend.
