Console heating up...normal?
Hi,
I noticed yesterdat when driving the C5 that the console heats up on some places. Is that normal?
Places that are warmer/hotter then the surrounding areas are:
- cicular area where active handling button is
- front face of radio and climatronic
let me know

Try the abs of steel as well. I have this on my car along with the mat. Honestly, I have no idea how warm the cabin gets without them since I bought the car with both already installed. I can say that the car feels very cool inside on hot summer days!

If you are going on a long trip, you can throw some burgers in the center console, and they will be kept warm. It is normal for them to be hot.

Well, I can vouch for the difference. Before my Elite Engineering tunnel plate, my legs cooked, particularly in the hot Southern California summer. The EE tunnel plate made a huge difference. I highly recommend it.

A thicker, ceramic coated tunnel plate will fix your problem.

And the console lid kept you from getting your face to the melted mess?
