I have often wondered why certain Corvette colors were not available on the Z06. I think a Mag Red or Spiral Gray Z06 would have looked great. It seems strange that some nice metallic colors were not available. Any ideas on why Chevy limited the color selections?
Maybe because they already offered the best color made called electron blue Honestly I've wondered the same thing since there's more colors available for the coupes and verts. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do other colors.
Lucky me... somebody wrecked my car... and now I get to repaint it. I think I make it an Audi pearl gray with BMW technoviolet stripes. At least I won't feel like there's another girl at the dance with the same dress on every time I see another Torch red c5 Z06.
I agree that Electron Blue is truly exotic, but Spiral Grey is probably my 2nd favorite vette color of all time. I've even thought of painting mine spiral grey, though I'm sure I never will.
Ive always loved Magnetic Red and would have liked to see Zs in that color. I liked it so much I almost painted my old Shark that color. Just a classy color.
I have often thought about going back to '67 and having my Z painted Milano Maroon. What a beautiful color and the screens and brake ducts would stand out nicely...
actually its simply to reduce production cost...a z06 doesn't have quite the mass market of the c5 so naturally less demand means less colors... there are probably other reasons but to the best of my knowledge thats the genereal consensus
