I just got my Black Chrome inserts from Chip today
I'm looking at the stainless inserts that were on the car when I bought it and it looks like it will take some time to remove the existing letters.
Anyone done this before and have any tips or tricks to getting them and the leftover residue off? Thanks!

Rick it shouldn't be all that hard.
I usually just pull them off by hand and then go back with some goo gone to soften everything up. After I get rid of the old adhesives I cay bar the insides of the letters to get everything out of there, then just get a que tip and some rubbing alcohol swab everything down and apply the new letters
hair dryer and alcohol the heat will soften the glue just lift with a wooden nail cleaner wont scratch and CLEAN WITH THE ALCOHOL repeat, repeat, repeat clean out real well (rewax alcohol removes it) good luck easy
I'd try pulling them off. That will probably work.
I've also heard of people using waxed dental floss to remove emblems. You use it to slowly cut the the emblem from the adhesive, then you clean up the adhesive. I haven't tried it, but I understand it can be effective. I'm not sure how well it would work on a contoured surface, as opposed to a flat body panel.
