Is it possible to just do the frame and we can just apply the inserts ( checkered flag/bowtie inserts) without having to apply for a GM license , I think they're particular about the but if you just do the frame will one need a GM license?

Correct. Those are the Black Titanium inserts from SS Inserts - perhaps not exactly the same but should be very similar. SS Inserts said that Black Titanium was their terminology for Black Chrome. Looks like Chip has a better price (as I recall both sets from SS Inserts were about $240 shipped), but I am not seeing any available for the front yet (may just not see them)?
Just to be clear, we are not sourcing this product from anyone. This is a CCA Original Exclusive Product, produced start to finish by CCA.

OOOKAY!!!Now you went and REALLY muddied the water for me!!! Have been really thinking about getting stainless letters because I thought they would look best on pewter. Now I see these and HMMMM!! Anybody already have these on pewter???? If so can you post'em!!!

i cant wait to get mine!!! these things comming out was a great excuse for me to dump some money at CCA. And I figured I could order them while i was on leave but chip got everything out to my house in hawaii so fast that it looks like its gonna beat me back there.

Sorry to derail the thread from the lettering topic, but I am still fascinated by the halo lights.
One thing I didn't like about my stock lights was the "venetian blinds" effect - where at night or at certain angles, there were horizontal lines running across the surface. Reminds me of m LT1 camaro, and imo, makes the car look old and outdated in contrast to the newer C6 lights.
Do these halo lights have that same effect?
