Fan Shroud Removal..
How difficult is this?? I'm removing the Vortex Rammer that came on my car and I am getting my new OEM shroud tomorrow..
Is it a difficult item to swap??
I have an 02 Z06 if it makes any difference.

Pretty simple job.
- Remove the top radiator shroud.
- Slide under the car and remove the 7mm screws on the front fascia and then on the each side of the inner shroud there is one 7mm screw.
Pop it forward, there are two plastic keepers and slide it out the top.

Cool, thank you! I picked up the new shroud this morning, so I'll do the job tonight.

If you temperture gauge on HVAC unit inside, you'll need to unplug the connector and transfer over the sensor.

jb, get a long screwdriver ( real long ) and shove down between the shroud and the frame that the 2 plastic pins are attached to and pry up. the shroud will pop off the plastic pins ( metal retainers ) and you're good to go. takes about 5 minutes.

The job is done, thanks for the tips guys, this forum has once again been a big help!!
I'm selling the Vortex that came with the car now..
What a mess I found under the stock shroud. It took me longer to blow/vacuum the crap out then it did to do the job!!

This should be part of the regular PM for the C5, the car is a street-sweeper
