What it comes down to is, It doesn't really matter, Just enjoy the car and wave
PS by the way, I hated Ft Jackson, way too sandy, hot and dry. But that was a long time ago.

A lot of you guys seem to take for granted that once someone purchases a Vette, they seem to unconsciously pick up this knowledge that they, for some reason, are suppose to automatically wave at every other Vette that passes them on the road. 
It could be that they just don't know. That's more likely the case than the other reason, which is they just don't care at all...like me!

When I lived in Maryland I used to get waves all the time from vettes of all generations ......
but down here in the South Beach/Miami area all I get is pompous/dirty looks

This should be in the on the front page of the owners manual as a standard operating prodedure followed by a warning that if one passes another Corvette with out waving DIC will flash bad JUJU code.

Thanks for all the waves. I drove from South Carolina to Florida and back to Kentucky and the waves got better. Dont get me wrong, I'm not an attention freak, I just really dig tradition. Thanks again for all the replies.

i went for a 150 mile cruise yesterday and passed 5 vettes...a pewter clone of mine..got the wave, a new silver c6..ditto, a red convert with dealer plates...got two waves from the pilot and co pilot...a yellow z06...coming from the other direction got a headlight flash... and last was a mid 60's vette..got the wave....it appears to be alive and well in Ct.
