Default Headers question(s)

Which headers will bolt on to the factory pipe locations? Also how difficult are they to install?

Thanks

Hi Vinny,

I'm starting to explore this too so I will be paying close attention to this thread.

Are you stock? I seem to remember you installing Vram right before I did.

Yup, pretty much stock. I am planning on getting the cats "cleaned" out to go along with the headers and Granatelli cat-back already on the car.

Why not get an X pipe with high flow cats?

If you want to keep the stock H pipe you gotta go with shorties, I believe.

Well, I will as time/money permits. I know that Borla has an X-pipe that bolts to the stock manifolds. So, I want to start with the headers that can bolt to the stock H-pipe, then later get the Borla X-pipe to bolt-on, then cats.

All long tube headers will require changing the mid pipe for 100% bolt on install. If using the stock mid pipe it will have to be cut and welded to fit the LTs.

Only Shorties are made for bolt on to stock mid pipes.

Is there a performance difference between the Shorties and Long Tubes?
