Default State Farm Impresses Me Again

I've been really happy with State Farm's service and rates for the two years that I've had them... and then yesterday they moved a notch higher.

When I recently learned that half the windows on my 03Z could easily cost over $1000, I decided to see what kind of glass coverage, if any, I had on my policy. Turns out that it's all covered by my comprehensive, which I had a $1000 deductible on. My agent then informed me that I could change from that $1000 Ded. to a $100 Ded. for just $3.80 a month...

So obviously I jumped at that, and have a $100 Ded. for everything... including glass. Sweet!

Also... last week, as I do a couple times a year, I solicited quotes from other insurers for both the Vette, and also the Vette plus truck plus house. I got six quotes between 279 and 360 a month for everything... State Farm? 165 per month. I don't know how they do it.

It also helps that my agent is very cute and she loves when I show up in the office because she likes my Vette! too bad she's married. But she and the other few agents always press up to the windows when I pull up... and that makes me feel good!

These cars rock.

They don't like Alaskans. Most insurance companies don't. We get about half a dozen insurers who actually understand that Alaska is a US state with real, living people who need insurance. It's amazing how many companies won't write insurance for people here.

They don't like Louisiana either. A few years ago, before Rita and Katrina, SF decided they didn't want to insure our houses any more, only our cars and lives and sell annuities.....It was the beginning of a trend that saw our home owner's insurance, state wide, double. Sorry, no matter how good or how cheap they are I'll never do business with them.

If you think your insurance is a good ..think again..I pay $66/month and have FULL comp coverage plus all the other stuff..and it is not collector insurance it is a national gov type company and very good. ( all you have to do is check the Florida State Official comparative insurance booklet and you can see immediately what each company charges and how they are rated. )

I wish I had that price. I pay almost 200/month for my Vette. But, I'm only 24 with a horrible driving record. And only drive 3-4K miles a year with the Vette. My dumb young days are really hurting the pocket book a few year later. Thank goodness I paid cash for the car or I would be kicking myself with a car payment and insurance every month.

I've had State Farm for about 27 years and have always been happy with them.

I pay $127 a month for the 'Vette, my truck, my boat, and renters insurance.

But I'm also 53 with a good record and 26 years of accident free CDL driving.

My parents have been with a local state farm agent for many years now, and when I started doing my own insurance setup for my cars I went with them as well. We've been very pleased every time we've ever had an issue with any of our vehicles, and the rates have always been extremely competitive.

State Farm for 33 years. $122/month for full coverage on 2003 Vette, 4 wheel drive p/u, boat w/150 hp motor, all at $100 deductible (grandfathered in from 20 years ago). Excellent customer service. I won't be looking for "better prices". My 78 is also with State Farm classic (not antique) policy, full coverage, $58 every 6 months.

Bad news but the state has the option to force coverage or pull out all insurance business by a carrier. This is a hammer all state regs have but the state of LA maybe allowing the matter to continue and if a business is given the opportunity it will screw the public everything .

I was with State Farm for over 15 years on auto and home. AIG saved me almost 20% on insurance for both cars. I recently met with State Farm to again compare rates and they were still high. Even with bundling house and cars together other companies are cheaper.

I've had State Farm for about 17 years now and they are very good. I'm paying about $66 per month for full coverage on the Vette. When I had my fender bender, they were so easy to work with! Didn't have any issues whatsoever. I'm staying with them.

When I was a kid and first started driving, my dad was with "Travelers insurance". The agent was an lazy old fart and when I had an issue, he didn't do crap to help me. Meanwhile my dad would ALWAYS bi!ch about how State Farm always won their case for their client if you were involved in an accident with them... Sooooo... I went to a family friend and converted my stuff to State Farm! That was 25 ish years ago... I don't shop for the cheapest but State Farm has always been there to take care of me when there's been an issue. BTW, it wasn't long before my father converted his insurance to SF as well. He's been there ever since.

My daughter works there now as an auto-claims specialist. It's a good place to work as well.

Im a third generation state farm(er).

Im 25 have my house, truck and vette insured (cars with full coverage 500 collision / 100 glass -theft) and an increase in my overall liability coverage since my income increased substantially since college.

618 /yr home
800/ yr truck
700/yr vette (6mo driving / 6 mo storage)

175/mo for all

If I lived one block over in my parents old house, that would all drop by about 100 -75 bucks each line item!

I priced out all the above mentioned with either slightly higher, slightly lower or dont offer insurance in Michigan.

Im staying with them bc claims have always been handled fast and no issues with any problems in the future on previous claims being reopened for new repairs.

I have my home , my vette, and two other cars with State Farm, and in NJ, they have the best rates for me. I've gotten quotes from other companies, and they are hundreds of dollars more. No thanks, I like State Farm!!!

I've been with State Farm for about 30 years now. I have my 99 vette, 06 pickup, 06 suv, 00 suv, 92 buick. All have full coverage except the 92 and I pay about $290 a month. My two sons, 21 and 19, are included on the polices and are primary drivers on the 92 and 00. I also have my house with them as well. Never had a issue and they've always been easy to work with. I won't be switching either.

I found a similar situation with my insurer. I have Travelers and for the longest time had a $1000 deductible. A month ago, I also thought about "What If" types of things which prompted me to inquire about a lower deductible. To my surprise, for an extra $30 for the premium period (6 months), I could have a $100 deductible... well worth it and something every vette owner should do
