spring spruce-up; cheap bastich method.

I just drove home last night @ 10pm with these installed. Didn't get a chance to blacken the rubber, nor install lugnut caps.
The rims were $65 each - plus shipping, the tires were $985 from TireRack (Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval RFT; Front: 245/40ZR18, Rear: 285/35ZR19).
These tires are EXTREMELY quiet. I drove Yvonnes 2003 with factory tires (and 6800 miles on the ODO) to get a hear of what newer OEM Goodyear run-flats sounded like. Then drove mine again... quite a difference. I also notice that small road imperfections are felt less; and are almost silent.
I don't know how they'd do in autocross or road racing - but that's not my application anyways.
Oh; and I used the cheap 1/4" plate spacers on the rears - instead of the 1" offset variety ( http://wheelsnparts.com/images/categories/spacers.bmp ), and am satisfied with the physical apperance.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Thanks. I have a lowered pewter vette with a TS kit and have been looking at C6 rims to get me up another 1/2 inch.
It's hard to tell from the pics but what does the wheel color look like next to the pewter?
