Keyless remote question... kind of.

I just picked up an 03 Z (36K miles for $29,500 OTD) and on the key ring there is what looks like a keyless remote (only smaller), but it doesn't have any buttons on it. It also has "low battery" written on it. Anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance,

If it has a part number on it, google it.

If it has an FCC ID and/or IC number on it, it is a radio transmitter/receiver.

Thanks for the replies. It has an older FCC ID on it so I wasn't able to find out anything about it. Regardless, here is a picture.

Remote transmitter. Could be for anything, remote start, garage door, home or auto alarm, starter disable. Walk around pushing it until something happens. Maybe if it has "low battery" written on it, someone has added a remote battery operated unlock in case the car battery is too low to unlock the door. All just speculation.
