Default Not that loud

While putting my stock Ti exhaust back on my '04 Z the other day (removed my Corsa Indy) I succumbed to temptation and started the car while unmuffled. I expected a tremendous and deafening roar, but I was absolutely shocked that the exhaust was relatively quiet - "relatively" being a relative term.

I've had other cars that were louder on the steet with flowmasters attached. The cats must really restrict and quiet down the stock exhaust. I could see installing a set of cut-outs for those wild-hair moments when I want to raise a few eyebrows. Sounded really good though.

There's a reason why it's easy to pickup a used set of SLP's!

I picked up a set of Borla straight pipe for my z. Everyone was telling me how it was going to be SO loud. I get nothing but complements on it and even my wife says its not too loud!

Agreed... I have this on my car. Corsa Competition Ti. At WOT it screams, but it isn't bad at all for normal cruising. Really surprising actually.

I too have straight pipes with no mufflers. I love them. I've heard louder cars with mufflers. The tone is great. It sounds like it means business

No, not exactly. Just prepping you for the cabin drone. I have em and love em but had to deaden the drone b4 I could ride around with the windows up.
