What "Specials" Do The Memebers Want To See

here's a more genearl response:
I'd like to see "specials" get their own section. Twice now I've purchased an item - not knowing that one of the forum vendors had it on sale. The vendor did make a post in the C5 Gen section about the sale, but it got buried on the second/third page due to the sheer number of posts in the C5 Gen/Tech sections.
And to be specific.... what I'd like to see is:
* a C5 Vendor Specials/Sales section of the forum
What I don't want it to be:
* a general "here are the products we carry" type section; strictly sales & specials.
* an area that vendors are forced to post in. It should be optional - to where vendors can still post sales/specials in the Tech/Gen sections if they wish.
When I'm wanting to make a purchase, would make it a lot easier to see if there's any sales going on for that exact item if I didn't have to dig through the forum using it's search function. Instead entering in a "C5 Sales/Specials" section.
Plus, sale listings in this section would be immediately locked. It would be an "announcement" area; keeping all the "but I can get it cheaper here _______ " or "I hate thoze floor mats; buy these _______ instead" type replies.
Of course one could still PM or email the vendor with questions.

BUT, what if we were to post on OUR website -- SPECIFIC SPECIALS FOR THE WEEK? Would this help?
