Default Installed new pads, need some help.

I put some Hawk Ceramic pads on Sunday. Now I'm getting an obvious clicking noise that gets faster with speed. It only happens when everything gets real hot, and after I let of the brakes. If I brake, I don't hear it. As soon as I let off and start going, I hear the click, click, and it speeds up as I get faster.

Again, it doesn't do it until I've driven for a while. I have it jacked up right now and am trying to spin tires to recreate. I really thought the calipers were hitting the Ruff Wheels, but that doesn't seem to be it. The left one spins pretty good but grinds a bit every half turn like maybe the rotor is warped. The right one spun really good and I thought I heard a slight click. Then I started it up and applied brakes a few times, now it wont spin freely enough to test.

I could use some debugging ideas. I hate to take it to a shop after I already spent good time doing the brakes. Then again, I dont want to be damaging anything and it is my daily driver, therefore my ride to work in the morning.

Thanks in advance.

Ken . . .

I had a clicking noise when I put new wheels on. Found out the dealer forgot to tighten up the wheel nuts. Check your nuts

Take both sides and loosen up then re-torque each bolt you messed with, and check that the pads are seated correctly while you're in there. It won't take long, you have recent experience

I have this problem, I know what it is but I am too lazy to fix it.

It's the hardware that goes in the calipers that the pads slide into rubbing against the rotor.

I went ahead and completely pulled the caliper back off the side I suspected. Seated the pads and made sure not to overtighten the caliper, Put the wheel back on in different position, tightening each slowly to get best center. Already put away for night and was too lazy to do both sides.

Chances are, I'll be doing again. If it is the metal seats that the pads go in, can I get those anywhere. You would think those Hawks (very expensive) would come with those.

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input.

They only come with some pads, none that I ever buy, I had some missing on a used set of calipers I bought. Post in Parts for sale/wanted and ask if anybody has any, if you need replacements.
