I would buy a C6 with a power top, and have seen some good prices on them as of late.

A window valet plugs into the DIC under the dash and controls the raising and lowering of the windows when you lock and unlock the car. I have had mine over a year and no more crawling into the car to raise the windows after I put the top up. They are great
They are available from some of the venders on here.

I forgot the window valet, a neccesary device for the Vette. Click your unlock 3 times the windows go down, unlock w/fob and you are set to go(with a few extra very easy steps). As long as you can fit your walker in the back a vert has to be your best answer. A number of posts on here about dropping their targa tops(breaking) and I dropped mine fortunately on the inside of my previous Vette no harm done:o , but the tops are awkward and somewhat heavy. Just MHO Good luck on your choice.

Great thought, but not quite practical. The C5 is roomier (I'm a large guy and need the extra shoulder and hip room) plus the budget wouldn't allow it. I'm planning on a '97 to '99. Good values, good car.

Thanks again to everyone for jumping in. You have all been a great help.

with Jet-Jock, the windows will automatically go down when you push the tonneau release button.

The window valet is nice, but not needed to put the top down.

Sorry if it's a bit off topic but I've never understood how the window valet is any help in the process of putting the top back up. When I up the top back up I still have to sit back down quickly to latch both latches..... why wouldn't I just roll up the windows as I'm sitting there.

Unless you're suggesting walking around the car each time to latch the passenger latch, but I think that would take considerably more time.

I can raise or lower my top in about 10-12 seconds no problem even with sitting back down to turn the latches and raise the windows.

I have a 2000 vert and the windows go down when the button is pressed. Was that not on all C-5 verts?
