I have it on my OEM Ti's and it sounds amazing, no drone and close to stock if you keep a light right foot

I did a thorough writeup with pictures here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ghlight=bypass. I highly recommend it if you want to bump up the sound of your stock C5 or Ti exhaust and you don't want to spend a lot of money on a complete aftermarket system. Only costs about $50-60 on a stock C5, a little more for the Tis. I was happy with the result, but it was only a test before I bought a complete aftermarket system which I ultimately did (GHL Bullets ).

What ever you do. Don’t do the bypass mod on your stock exhaust. It sounds like a bad exhaust leak at idle. You will hate it and not like people questioning you on why your car sounds like it has marbles rolling around in your mufflers. I would just do cut outs so you can be loud when you want and stealth when you have to.

I had the muffler bypass mod on my car when I bought it. I didn’t like the sound and changed them back to newer stock mufflers. So I know from experience...

I would rather do the mod above.

I did this to mine, and ended up buying an after market exhaust later. The idle note was downright embarrassing

I know a bunch of people that have done the bypass mod to their stock exhaust and loved it, and I was very pleased with the result. HOWEVER, I put a Borla X-Pipe on at the same time so it didn't have that rough motorboat sound that comes from doing it to a completely stock exhaust. The mod sounded great on the stock exhaust with the X-pipe, but it was only a temporary thing for me anyway. I do highly recommend that anybody doing it to their stock exhaust put on an X-pipe of some sort to smooth out the exhaust.
