Well Last Wednesday I installed the NXT system.
Wow!!! What a great sound compared to stock.
The install went smooth but the clamps that come with it are junk.
I used better clamps.
Since the system (except for the Tips) is a non-polished stainless steel, I painted everything but the tips with 1000 degree flat black paint.
The systems mufflers hang lower than the stock ones and stood out like a sore thumb till I painted them. I cut off the stock exhaust system and was able to install this system without removing the sway bar.
All in all it was the best $525.00 spent as far as mods go.
Summit has some T-bolt hose clamps that looks decently sturdy
I used 2 1/2" u-bolt clamps.
Just make sure to prime and paint them before putting them on.
They are not stainless so paint is a must or they will rust.
They hold great and are a huge improvement over the clamps that come with the system.
If I ever get a lift someday I will weld all of the seams.
But so far so good. The system has not moved a bit.
Have a good one

It looks very nice on your car! Much better than the stock C5 exhaust tips.
How much did your new system weigh? Was it noticeably lighter than the stock setup?
Thanks for the pics!
best regards -

The new system is very light compared to the stock set up.
The new system was shipped as a 45 lb box via ups,so I would guess 40ish.
I gave the old system to a buddy that will take it to the scrap yard.
He is going to split the proceeds
If you guys like the sound now.. wait until it breaks in a bit.. the sound will get a bit deeper and it will sound even better than it does newly installed!
Looks great enjoy that beautiful rumble ,car looks terrific and love the exhaust plate GREAT WORK Did you ever get your battery cover finished? B
Thanks on the car. I got the cover finished but need to find better trim foam for the edges.
I will work on it during the winter.
I want one large sheet of foam that I can trim so it is all one piece.
Here is a pic of what I have now. Too many seams.
Have a good one and enjoy those loudmouths. I can't wait to get my LT headers for even more db's.
Have a good one
